Your power point is always in the present moment. All the events you have experienced in your lifetime up to this moment have been created by your thoughts, beliefs and actions. They were created by the thoughts and words you used, as well as the actions you took yesterday, last week, last month, 10, 20, 30, 40 or more years ago, depending on how old you are.
However, that is your past. It is over and done with. What is important in this moment is what you are choosing to think, do, believe and say right now. For these thoughts, words and actions will create your future. Your point of power is in this present moment and is forming the experiences of tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, etc.
Can you notice what thought you are thinking at this moment? Is it negative or positive? Do you want this thought to be creating your future? Just notice and be aware. Awareness is a first step in symptom reduction but ultimately it must be followed by specific actions in order for real and permanent change to take place. This is where the role of a health coach comes in - to supply the needed support, feedback and accountability. You must have a compelling vision of your future as well as an effective strategy for overcoming what's been stopping you, slowing you down or keeping you from feeling your very best.
