Sleep Coaching

Sleep Coaching

You’re here because you want to get your life back, focus on your work, relationships, fun and maybe your health, and sleep deeply again. You want to feel and be at your best.

The good news is that this is possible, even if you’ve been struggling with sleep issues for decades; the bad news is that this isn’t always so easy, especially when attempting it on your own.

I’m a big believer in empowering our lives to be better, as perhaps you are too. I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed, with sleep issues that make life seem out of control. And I know what it feels like to take small steps to bring life back under control.

As an Occupational Therapist, I’ve helped many people take small steps to achieve and/or to adjust to big changes in their lives. As a health and sleep coach, I work privately with clients, as well as in small groups. Our approach is based on 4 main keys to sleep, which are:

  • Key #1: Sleep Hygiene: Control what you can control to make your sleep better.
  • Key #2 Thought & Relaxation Training – Let go of negative patterns of thinking and feeling.
  • Key #3: Sleep Restoration – How to schedule your sleep, while learning to manage a poor night.
  • Key #4 NeurofeedbackTrain your brain to sleep well, naturally!

However, you may wish to focus on something else at the moment, or to take a deep dive into just one of the keys above. That’s fine too.

Let’s move you closer to your goal of deep, satisfying sleep. Below is a (partial) list of ways I can support you.

Sleep Hygiene and Why Can’t I Sleep? Why Can’t my Loved One Sleep? A deep-dive look at factors that are known to help or interfere with sleep, as applied to you or your loved one. Identify the problem so you can resolve it, and sleep!

Bed Partner Issues – What if you’re married to someone who snores? Or who wakes up gasping for breath throughout the night? Problem-solving these difficult issues can allow you to maintain a healthy relationship while reclaiming your own sleep.

Stress Relief – Sleep problems are often caused by underlying stressors, such as a challenging relationship, our own inner conflicts, or negative thoughts. By working together to challenge and refocus your thoughts, bring peace to your heart, and calmness to your nervous system, we can help restore quality sleep, and your natural ability to rest and rejuvenate.
